The Lakewood Water District’s Finance Department performs all financial and accounting functions of the District to ensure the sustainable financial health and condition of the District. As part of this function, the Finance Department performs the following:

• Budgeting
• Bookkeeping
• Financial Reporting
• Utility Billing and collection
• Procurement and purchasing
• Cash and debt management

The Department follows the requirements of the Washington State Auditor’s Office, the U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB).
